If you are looking for inspiration on how to make your wedding day as personal as possible, then I have the perfect wedding for you. Sierra and Mike’s wedding was one of those that really grabbed you by the heartstrings – every single detail incorporated meant something special to them personally and as a couple. From the hints of greenery and arrows signifying their love of the outdoors and archery, to the boutonnieres of Mike, the fathers and grandfathers – each wearing a charm marking something they love or have done throughout the years, all the way to the vows they wrote for one another. There wasn’t a spec of this wedding that didn’t have Sierra and Mike written all over it. My favorite part however was the touches of travel accessories included, all to commemorate Mike’s enlisting in the Coast Guard last year and knowing that soon their lives would take on a new adventure – including this one as Mr. and Mrs.
The venue itself was absolutely stunning. Featuring large trees, white picket fences, and a beautiful, rustic indoor reception space, it truly couldn’t have gotten any more breathtaking. Walking inside the reception, each table was set up with hand picked greenery, deer antlers, gold plates and candle holders, and navy blue tablecloths – everything tied together perfectly. There were so many touches of classic, rustic charm that my little heart just couldn’t help but skip over.
One of the most thoughtful pieces of decor however was sitting in an end table drawer – tiny gold soldiers, each meant for the guests to take home as a reminder to always think of and pray for the men and women serving our country. Talk about a selfless, loving couple.
I could go on and on about the wedding and Sierra and Mike, but I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
To the new Mr. and Mrs. Valentine, we wish you all the love and happiness there is and can’t thank you enough for letting us be a part of such a special day!
